The Honeymoon is over, on with life!

I recently jumped over the broom and went on my honeymoon.  It's been a wild couple of weeks, but I'm glad to be married.  My wedding ceremony was beautiful, but it had some disappointing moments.  To be specific, the reception was the most disastrous part.  Also, two individuals who were supposed to perform important functions during the ceremony, were late to the church.  Although, taking everything into consideration, I believe things happened the way they were supposed to.

Yet, I walked away from this day with a new sense of responsibility.  No longer single, I must now be the protector of my home and family.  Which makes me reevaluate the relationships I have with my so-called friends.  Many of the mishaps that occurred at the wedding, can be traced back to irresponsible "friends." But, I can't just blame them, the person who invited them is partially accountable as well (that means me, Truth).  I believe watching what people do, tells you more about them then anything they can say.  If I had not let loyalty or convenience blind me, then my wedding day would have been totally enjoyable.

I learned the hard way, but this is the last time it will happen to me.  As the co — head of my household, it's my responsibility to only have people around who will help my household grow, not destroy it.  Individuals who want the best for me, not ones that couldn't care less.  People who are undoubtedly in my corner, not folk whom I have to guess where their allegiance lies.

My wife says I'm too hard on people.  After our wedding day, I think she has a better understanding of why I'm that way.

Congtats to you and your new wife! I've never posted a comment before but had to come in and co-sign on this one. GOOD friends are as family and if you can't trust them on one part, you can't trust them on any.
